Heat Pump Split Systems

A heat pump split system consists of two sides of the system in separate areas. Does your home have an outdoor unit and an air handler on the inside of the house?  Perhaps the air handler is in the attic, garage, or a closet in the hallway.  Okay great!  Now you know you have a split system.  Now, do you know if your indoor unit runs on gas or propane?  If so, you have a "gas/electric split system."  If it doesn't, and you know your indoor unit or heat is provided by electric, you probably have a "heat pump split system."

Why we Choose Trane HVAC Systems for Fox Families

Fox Family Heating and Air and Trane Technologies have been partners since 2015.  The reason we choose to install Trane equipment in your home all comes down to this.  We repair Trane air conditioners way less than any other brand on the market.

Here are some other reasons:

Superiority - Trane systems are highly flexible. They are engineered to offer options in terms of capacity, airflow, humidity control, air filtration, energy use and operating efficiency.

Adapatability - You can take any Trane system and connect to your existing ductwork.  Do you have a zoned cooling system? Trane connects right back up to your current setup so you don't have to purchase everything from scratch.

Durability - Weatherguard fasteners steadfast and rust resistant.  The integrated G90 steel cabinet is powder painted louvers for protection on all sides of the unit. A Duratuff basepan withstands and 800 lb load over 20 years.  It won't crack, warp, corrode, or rust out.

Laboratory Testing - Trane's Systems Extreme Environmental Test Laboratory (SEET) is an extreme weather laboratory.  All of Trane’s testing procedures are conducted at much higher extremes and in more stressful conditions than the rest of the industry.

Real World Testimony -  The environment outdoors is a powerful corrosive force. The outdoor environment is harsh, with dramatic swings in temperature, precipitation, wind and humidity.  Sacramentans have been choosing Trane for their air cconditioner replacement for decades for so many reasons.  But the biggest reason is, other systems don't last as long and keep their efficiency longer than a Trane air conditioner.

Spine-Fin Coils - Trane is the only brand that uses spine technology.  It's made in a way that maintains it's efficiency longer than traditional radiator style coils that come with every other brand.  The spines create more surface area, so the heat exchanging process is more consistent even as the AC gets dirty.  Check out this chart on Trane's website:

Trane designs and manufactures their products to be as reliable and durable as possible. In fact, with Trane's ensures further peace of mind with one of the best residential manufacturer’s limited warranties in the industry:

10 years on the compressor
10 years on the outdoor coil
and 10 years on internal functional parts.

At Trane, the commitment to excellence continues long after a product leaves their factory.
