About Us!

A Little About The Fox Family Team

I grew up following my father around on weekends in the dark, the snow, the rain, and the heat as he repaired heating and air conditioning systems all around the Army base in Indianapolis, IN.  The soldiers were always so appreciative when he got them working again.  This planted the seed for me becoming mechanically inclined and customer service focused. 

I had my first job as a newspaper delivery boy for the Indianapolis News when I was 11 years old.  After high school, I joined the Air Force where I gained most of my mechanical training.  After the Air Force, I worked in the restaurant industry for about 15 years.  This instilled my one of my core values of providing down to earth customer service.  Since 2010 I have been in the residential HVAC industry where I am so happy working on equipment and providing customer service at the same time.  

My wife, Melissa and I wake up every day extremely motivated to take care of our team.  We have found by taking the best care of them, they end up going out of their way to take care of our customers.  This has worked well - and we can tell by the hundreds and hundreds of 5-star reviews on Google, Yelp and Facebook.

At one point or another, we've had members of our team who were in the Army, Air Force, and Marines.  We're working on finding some Navy and Coast Guard alumni, so if you know of any, let us know!  Members of our team have volunteered at major events in Sacramento and other areas in the USA. 

One of our team's greatest pride is our annual donation to the Today Will Be Great Foundation  (link: https://todaywillbegreat.org/  The mission is to provide access to education for those who otherwise would not have the financial means to fulfill their goals, to educate others about the importance of ATV safety, and to serve as a catalyst for others to pursue their dreams.  With donations in the thousands of dollars are fortunate to be part of the selection of high school graduates pursuing further education to lay foundations for their future careers.  We've always made a point to ensure the scholarships aren't just for those attending universities but blue-collar training facilities. 

My parents always taught me if I was going to take a job, I’d better do it right.  They taught me if I do a good job or a bad job, people will remember not only me but my family name.  That's why I dared to put my family name in the company’s business name.  Because, I guarantee you, my team will provide you with the best service ever.

We hire slowly
Greg and Melissa personally select potential candidates.  A multiple interview process ensures we are getting multiple chances to see our future teammates.  The last interview involves members of our leadership team asking questions to see if that person is someone they would want to work with in the field.

Continual training
Our weekly training sessions keep everyone apprised of the latest in technology being installed as well as the old school equipment that still need repairs.  Our techs receive about 100 hours of on the job training a year.  It covers the vast base of skills we need to do the job right no matter who comes out to your house.

Money isn't everything
Too many companies are all about their bottom line.  We're not going to pressure our technicians to sell you something at every house they visit.  Fox Family exists to treat people in a way that will make them want to come back to us a second time.  To do that, we try to charge a fair price that covers the increasingly challenging costs of doing business in California.  What we're not looking to do here is get rich.  

We have seasonal fun days
Work hard, play hard right?  We always make sure to take some time off to let our hair down and enjoy this wonderful world.  Whether it's going to a sporting event, rafting down the American River, playing kickball in the park, axe throwing, and various other activities, it's important to keep everyone fresh.
